Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 September 2026  ·  Applies to aniqfitness.com

Who we are

Aniq Fitness is a small business. We design and sell fabric resistance bands, and we run this website to explain how to use them, share workouts, and answer the questions we get asked most.

This website is operated by Aniq Fitness LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States (registration details available on request), trading as Aniq Fitness. Our founder is based in Cyprus. Our products are sold through Amazon Australia. We are not an Australian-registered company, and we would rather say that plainly than let an Australian flag on the website imply otherwise.

If you want to reach a person about anything in this policy, email support@aniqfitness.com. That address is monitored by us, not by a call centre. Postal address: available on request.

What this policy covers

This policy covers aniqfitness.com only.

It does not cover your purchase. We do not sell anything on this website and we never see your payment details. When you buy our bands, you buy them from Amazon, on Amazon’s platform, under Amazon’s own terms and privacy policy. Your name, address and card details go to Amazon, not to us. What we receive from Amazon is order and shipping information needed to fulfil and support your order, on Amazon’s terms.

It also does not cover other websites we link to. Once you click through to Amazon, YouTube or anywhere else, that site’s privacy policy applies, not ours.

What we collect, and how

If you download the free workout plan or e-guide

You give us your email address (and your first name, if the form asks for it) through a form on the download page or the giveaway page. Those forms are run by HubSpot. We use your email address to send you the file, and to send occasional emails about Aniq Fitness — new products, giveaways, and training content. You can unsubscribe from any of them.

If you enter a giveaway or join a waitlist

The same thing: email address through a HubSpot form, used to run the giveaway and to keep you on our list until you leave it.

If you email us

Your message and your email address arrive in our inbox, hosted by OVH. We keep the correspondence so we can help you and so we have a record if the same issue comes back. We do not add people to the mailing list because they emailed us a question.

If you leave a comment on an article

WordPress records the name and email address you type in, your comment, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. The name and comment are public. The email address is not published, but it is stored, and it may be sent in hashed form to the Gravatar service (operated by Automattic, USA) to check whether you have a profile picture. If you would rather not have any of that recorded, email us instead of commenting.

If you just read the site

We still collect some information, and we would rather be straight about it than claim otherwise:

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, installed through the Site Kit by Google plugin. It records which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visitor was, what device and browser they used, and which site they arrived from. We use it to work out which articles are actually useful. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we have not linked it to any advertising account.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider, OVH, records requests to the site, including IP addresses, as part of running and securing the server.
  • Images. Our images are served through Optimole, an image-optimisation service, which processes the request in order to deliver the right image size to your device.
  • Embedded videos. Our workout videos are hosted on YouTube and embedded in our pages. Loading a page that contains a video sends a request to YouTube — on the workout plan we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, so cookies are only set once you press play. Pressing play may set cookies, including advertising cookies, exactly as if you had visited YouTube directly.
  • Fonts. Some fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

What we never collect

No payment or card details. No health information — we do not ask about your weight, injuries, goals or medical history, and we would rather you did not send it. No government identifiers. No dates of birth. We do not buy personal information from data brokers, and we do not try to work out who an anonymous visitor is.

You can read the whole site without giving us anything but the technical items above. If you want to contact us without using your real name, that is fine, as long as we can still answer you.

Cookies, and what you can do about them

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. On this site they come from three places: Google Analytics (statistics), HubSpot (forms, pop-ups and chat, plus its own analytics), and YouTube (only once you play a video).

We are being straight with you about the current position: this site does not yet show a cookie consent banner. That means analytics and embedded-video cookies may be set before you have had a chance to say no. We are working on adding proper consent controls. In the meantime, every browser lets you block or delete cookies, and you can set yours to refuse third-party cookies entirely — the site will still work, although embedded videos may not play. Google also offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all websites.

Why we collect it

  • Your email address: to deliver the free download you asked for, run giveaways, and send marketing emails you have agreed to receive.
  • Your comment or message: to answer you and to run a useful comments section.
  • Analytics and logs: to understand which content helps people, to fix what is broken, and to keep the site secure and online.

For readers in the EU and UK, our legal bases are: your consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies; our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure, understanding how it is used, and replying to messages; and legal obligations where one applies.

Marketing emails

We only email marketing to people who asked for it, by submitting one of our forms. Every marketing email identifies Aniq Fitness as the sender, gives a working reply address, and includes an unsubscribe link that works in one click and is acted on promptly. If the unsubscribe link ever fails, email support@aniqfitness.com and we will remove you by hand.

We do not send marketing SMS.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the services that make the website and the mailing list work. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we never will. No advertising networks, no list brokers, no data resellers.

We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.

Sending information overseas

Because we use the services above, personal information you give us is stored and processed outside Australia — mainly in the United States and Canada. We choose established providers with published privacy and security commitments, but we cannot guarantee that overseas privacy laws match Australian law. By using the forms on this site, you accept that your information is handled in those countries. If that is not acceptable to you, email us instead of using a form.

How long we keep it

These periods are what we aim for, and we will update this section if they change:

  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression record afterwards so we do not accidentally email you again.
  • Support emails: roughly 24 months after the conversation ends.
  • Comments: as long as the article is published, unless you ask us to remove yours.
  • Analytics: according to the retention setting on our Google Analytics property, currently 14 months.
  • Server logs: as retained by OVH, generally around 12 months.
  • Backups: roughly 90 days, after which they are overwritten.

Security

The whole site runs over HTTPS. Administrator access is limited to the people who need it and protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication where the service supports it. The mailing list lives inside HubSpot rather than in a spreadsheet on somebody’s laptop. The site is backed up.

What we will not tell you is that this makes us unhackable. No website is. We keep the amount of personal information we hold deliberately small, which is the most honest protection we can offer.

If something does go wrong and a breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and notify the relevant authority — in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Your rights

Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can email support@aniqfitness.com and ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete what we hold;
  • stop sending you marketing;
  • send you a copy of what you gave us, in a portable format.

We will respond within 30 days, and usually much faster. There is no charge. We may need to confirm you are who you say you are before acting, particularly for a deletion request.

If you are in the EU or UK, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you those rights formally, along with the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, the right to restrict processing, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

We follow the Australian Privacy Principles as our standard for handling personal information, whether or not the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) formally applies to a business of our size.

Children

This website is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.

Complaints

Email support@aniqfitness.com first, with “Privacy” in the subject line. We will acknowledge within a few days and give you a full answer within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. Readers in the EU or UK can complain to their own data protection authority instead.

Changes to this policy

When we add a tool, remove one, or change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your email address, we will tell you directly rather than hoping you re-read the page.

We would rather this page be short and true than long and reassuring. If anything here is unclear, or if you want to know exactly what we hold about you, email support@aniqfitness.com and ask.
